Has anybody ever tabbed out the Jerry ascending riff?

You probably know the one I mean. It can be found all over the place in the jams, but I guess my favorites would be from many Scarlet Begonias or Morning Dew jams.

It sounds to me like they are ascending thirds, but I can never quite nail it. Anybody have any help?

I just posted this in another thread. This is from another post way back on this board. I liked the sound so much, I bookmarked it. It's descending intervalic thirds, but I suppose if you go the other way it's ascending. :)

WOW i just found out the secret to Jerry's dance.

My guitar teacher showed a technique that jerry

himself created and it's called

"Descending Intervalic Thirds"

Jerry did this mostly with the mixolydian scale but

he knew how to do it with every scale

Heres what it would look like in a mixolydian scale

There it is the descending intervalic thirds of the mixolydian scale this took me forever to get down i went one day without practicing it and it totally through me off. Also along with this technique also mess around with jumping around whitin a scale you will find that Jerry used these techniques to create the amazing Dark Star. Thanks; I saw that before on the Fender Forum site. I use ascending and descending thirds all the time, but the Jerry riff I am thinking of has something different about it. A great example is during the Scarlet Begonias solo from the second night of Hampton, VA, in the spring of 1987, the show available as a download. There's just something about what Jerry is doing and a normal ascending thirds thing that don't quite mesh, and I can't for the life of me nail it.
