thanks alot, I just recently decided to add some Velvet Underground to my set, When I bring the band up alot of people say "who?", and I think that's a shame, their to good of a band to be lost in the frey

I've heard that the Velvet Underground used to be called the Warlocks, too. that's why the Dead had to change their name.

Another connection to the boys: I read that Lou Reed, who was the mastermind of the Velvets, was influencial to Jerry. It said something about how Jerry liked lou's song Walk on the Wild Side and he wrote the music to Franklin's Tower as a homage to Walk on the Wild Side. Not sure if it's true or not, but I do remember reading it.
