What kind of gear does everyone have?

I play a Lefty Gibson SG Faded w/ Dimarzio Super II split coils. I am new to this site, I have been to 52 GD shows
1986 thru 1995. from Shoreline to Alpine to 85000 strong Buffalo July 4 1989. What an adventure!
anyways I have a small Jerry rig I like to fiddle around. I will post the pictures of what I got maybe you gys can give me some tips on effects pedal positions in the chain and settings on the effects.

On this site you can't actually upload pics, but you can display images that are hosted elsewhere:

1) Upload the pic to a web-based photo account (flickr? photobucket? facebook?)
2) Open that image, right-click it, and select Copy Image URL
3) Paste the URL into your rukind posting
4) Highlight the image URL you just pasted, and click the "Img" tag button above. You should now be able to see the image in Preview.

Just added a new SMS Classic to my collection and dusted the cobwebs off of my Mesa 50/50...

Very nice collection, you've got all the bases covered.

I imagine the 50/50 is very close in performance to having two of what I am currently using as power amp: my 60watt Mark III's 2x6L6GC power section (going into FX Return bypasses the preamp+reverb, defeating all controls but Master Vol. and Presence, which I set at about 2 and 3.75 respectively). Been liking how this sounds using the 4ohm taps with two JBL E's. Slightly dirtier/warmer than my old SS power amp.

Unless you use wah and envelope at the same time, I'd try the Vol/Wah at the tail end of chain, or at least after the envelope. ymmv of course.

Anyone else use the Mu Tron Micro V ?

I recently reacquired a partscaster that I built about 23 years ago. It has an ebony fretboard, a solid Paduak pickguard, a Kahler trem and I have installed Dimarzio SD-1s along with RS Guitarworks pots and cap.

Board is; Mu-tron Micro V > Barber Tone Pump (a two channel overdrive) > Whirlwind Gold Box (a MXR Distortion+ clone) > Boss DD-2 delay.

Amp is a two 6v6 output built by Bruce Collins of Mission Amps (Bruce is one of the best tube amp techs anywhere). Not exactly, but close to a Blackface Deluxe played into a Mojotone 1-12 cabinet loaded with an Eminence Cannabis Rex.

My approach has always been to find a good tone, not necessarily Jerry's or anyone elses, just keep playing and trying equipment until I came across something that sounded good. For now, I am pretty happy with it and get a fair number of compliments about the tone.

Jaybird, the Mu-tron V setting I use the most is, curiously, the exact setting I see in your picture. Switch on low with the knob at 2 o'clock though I use it anywhere between 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock. It is the first effect in my chain. I had it recapped and hard wire bypassed.

The Enhancer Boss EH-2 clean up the sound after all the pedals in front of it. its a funny pedal it feels like its not there but if you turn it off mid way playing you can feel its gone..transparent but there...it cleans the signal...

I like the sounds I get from the Mu Tron Micro V....Estimated Fire Stanger Etc etc. ..

Who else here has a Mu Tron Vol/Wah C-200 ????
