I love all the guitar porn everyone! ;)

I'll add to the mix
Electrics:
Warmoth WGD (maple/mahogany/rosewood neck) - Barden pickups, graphtech midi pickup - my main gigging guitar, love it, love it, love it
Gregg Rogers custom carved top tele (cocobolo/maple/rosewood neck) - used on stage for a couple of years before the Warmoth, P94 pickups - a screamer
'78 Les Paul - my first guitar (got it in '82), gigged with it for 10+ years. Funny, someone had replaced the original pickups with Super IIs before I got it, I hated them and changed them to Gibson Classic 57s - didn't know Garcia used Super IIs then - irony :)
'79 Strat - was run over by a car, and is a total mutt, still plays and sounds ok
'89 PRS CE24 - got it in '89 and used it onstage for 7-8 years. Great guitar, don't play it much anymore
'73 P-Bass - bought this from my bass player, he used it on Junior Wells last recording (Paint it Blue - Stones tribute album) and a handful of other blues greats - Billy Boy Arnold, Bob Margolin, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Otis Rush, Pinetop Perkins, Rev. Billy C. Wirtz . . . the only thing original is the wood :)
1955 Gibson Lap Steel - original 1955 P90 pickup - this thing sounds fantastic
mid-50's National Lap Steel - needs some repair :(

Acoustics:
1995 Taylor 810 - great playing and sounding dreadnaught - worked for a Taylor dealer and got it for a steal - custom Engleman spruce top, Schertler Blue Stick pickup (these are the best!)
2005 Del'Arte Hommage 14D - my Django guitar for my gypsy jazz group - also makes a great Dead acoustic. This is the loudest acoustic guitar I've ever played it is an absolute cannon - Shertler Dyn-G pickup. I highly recommend John Kinnard's built Del'Arte guitars for acoustic Dead. They started making cheaper Del'Arte's in Asia have not tried one of those
Gitane DG250 - a cheaper gypsy jazz guitar, probably closer to Django's Macaferri than the Del'Arte - has the dot on the 10th fret instead of the 9th as per the original - very confusing - I took some fingernail polish and fixed it

Amps
'65 Twin Reissue - I use this one when we're outdoors or some big venue where I can crank it up
late 80s Marshall JCM 800 4x10 slant cab - not great for Dead music but and awesome amp
'89 Mesa Mark III head - 2x12 cab - my stage amp for almost 20 years - badly in need of repair
recent Mesa Mark IV 1x12 combo - I use this one for small club gigs
Schertler Unico acoustic amp - best acoustic amp out there, 180w biamped - basically a studio monitor with a great amp attached

Effects:
T-Rex Dr. Swamp OD
Mutron III
Heil Talk Box
Lexicon MPX G2
MXR Dynacomp

This is my setup! Just got the new cab yesterday, by ABcustom Audio, He normally doesn't make them like that but I sent him a pic of a Hard truckers, told him I wanted it black and this is what I got for 115$ plus shipping. With my 1973 Fender twin right to a boss equalizer to my pedal board to my Mexican Strat.

I am using the stock twin speakers for now until I find the right speakers for me.

(Just landed a House band for a local restaurant  )

What are the dealtails of the guitar on the left? Those look like the PU's in one of Jimmy Herrings guitars.

It's a Michael Dolsey Designs guitar. Korean made, American contracted semi hollow tele body w/ a bolt on flamed maple neck. The pickups are p90s. Think oversized single coil. Herring does have a PRS w/ this style pickups. Totally cheap guitar that i got off ebay by accident. The guy sells them new on ebay and it had a buy it now for $550, I halfassed typed in $400 in the "Best offer" box and he accepted it. My first thought was "uh-oh, that was a little ez, what kind of total piece of shit did I just agree to buy?"
The pickups are cool, the finish is pretty good, the neck is big and nice and it's all solid woods. You can't see in the pic but it's got a nicely quilted maple top. The bad news is the frets were a mess, it wasn't exactly set-up to well and the tuners are cheap and should be replaced. I got it set up and the frets were taken care of. It's definately a cool little guitar for $450 when all is said and done.
The guy offers up Les Paul, neck thru Tele's, 335 style, PRS semi hollow type, Viola basses, 335 basses, Tele's like mine, SG jr's for some pretty cheap money. I'm thinking about trying one of his PRS hollows or a 335 type at some point.
search: Mdolsey on ebay to see what he offers.
I am in no way affiliated w/ him or his company.

Right? If the thing has a playable neck, a guy could mission control that fucker to what ever degree and not have to sweat the vintage mojo or the huge investment upfront. At the very least, you have a test bed for various ideas if tinkering is your thing.

Cool, I checked his stuff out on ebay nd it looks pretty cool. To be clear, that 335 looking git is not one is it? What is that one. It's really nice looking.

Peace,

Gil
