Full Jerry interview

Full Jerry interview

Postby amyjared » Wed Oct 20, 2010 12:43 pm

Jerry did this interview when he was at his lowest, but it's still worth a read, and finally, it's the full interview, not what they put in Frets Magazine. Enjoy:

hmm I remember reading another interview (and Im pretty sure it wasnt this one) that had a very similar intro paragraph describing how his BO proceeded him by the length of the room and he also snorted coke without breaking the conversation

nonetheless I will read this intently

edit: actually it was the same interview, but just a chunk of it - http://malfalfa1.tripod.com/garciainterview.htm

edit 2: lol you can see the powder on his shirt in that cover shot

Does anyone have (link?) the Jerry interview from:
Guitar Play Magazine
April 1971 Vol. 5, #3

I have this info written on a piece of paper I came across, but not sure if i ever read that one.

Those pics are kind of a bummer. Explains why some of '85 was so bad. I also always wondered why Jerry's voice was different during this period, was it due to the drugs and being so overweight?

I was actually thinking that was a Jerry impersonator until I saw the missing finger on the 1995 video...was he just really bummed out with the dead at that point and that's why he seems so unnaturally happy there?

Do you do much jamming?

Virtually 90% of the playing that I do is jamming.
:P

I wish jerry would have said.. "have you ever seen one of our shows?"
