Hello Everyone and Hi Jerry,

You and your music are still part of our life.

About two weeks ago I was wondering if you passed away in 95 or 96. I knew it was early August.....10 years today and wish you were here.

Then this morning I heard the best ever intro music on CNBC. I heard intro's of Roll Away the Dew, then later intro of Goin Down the Road Feelin Bad. Sounded wonderful.

when there was no ear to hear

you sang to me

when there was no strings to play

you played to me

in the book of love's own dream

where all the print is blood

where all the pages are my days

and all my lights grow old

when I had no wings to fly

you flew to me

How Can I Explain

Postby BPA » Tue Aug 09, 2005 10:10 am

It's so hard to get on. And these visions of Johanna have kept me up past the dawn.

Jerry:

So sorry to have lost you. What would you think of this icon bs? You were a living icon and in death you remain one. I never knew you all that well, but I was able to share some genuine memories and moments with you. In your passing, the world lost a beam of light that we can only hope to illuminate again in time. Rest in peace my friend.

yea, for me i cant find any other music that really sets my musical taste like not only jerry did, but also what the grateful dead set off in my brain. I really have a lotta love for your music Jerry and maybe one day you'll really be apreciated in today's younger generation. Hell, your more than loved by this 14 year old deadhead!(where r u guys!dont u relize phil&bobby r still playin in the band!the dead is still truckin! The music is really flowing so check it out...)really

"Standing on the moon
With nothing else to do
A lovely view of heaven
But I'd rather be with you."

We'd rather you were with us too.

I can hardly believe that it has been 10 yrs since the world lost one of it's greatest musicians/Guitarists. I will never forget the day I heard the news...I was numb. I am only thankful that I did get to share in what the Dead did before they lost Jerry. Keep on Truckin' my friend and say hi to Pigpen for me.......
