by myself, in the dark, romulan and rye, trance state... fuck... it's been a while since i've been melted like that. old school drums, with jerry humbuckers and fenders cranked into distortion, phil's bass was soooo much lower back then I feel like, had so much more range on the 4 string than he ever did with the 6, and pigpen filling the room with fire and smoke. let's just say, it's been a while since i've really appreciated 'feedback'

Agree. I cut my teeth on them when they first came out. Those plus Live Dead make up the classic trilogy- like Dylan's Big Three around the same time. Man- what was in the water back then? (oh... right....)
