Allman Bros. & Ratdog @ Jones Beach

Postby Billbbill » Tue Aug 12, 2008 5:12 am

So I'm going tomorrow and just heard Ratdog has been going on at like 5:30pm? Is that right?

My ticket says the show starts at 7pm and doesn't even mention Ratdog (talk about no respect!).

Anybody got any info on this? I'm planning on being there early anyway but this may alter just how early.

I am going to check this show out here at DTE music theatre near Detroit on the 27th. The web site says doors at 5:00 show at 6:30. That would make sense because the shows there are alaways over by 11:00 pm and that would give Ratdog about and hour and fifteen and the Allmans three hous or so.

My friend is a ticket broker in NYC. He knows Jones Beach venue very well and says Ratdog will probably go on about 7-7:15, play until 8:30 or so and then Allmans.
There are only two mantras. Yum and yuk. Mine's yum.

well thanks for the scare :x i should be getting there about 6:15-6:30 so a 5pm ratdog start clearly wouldve been quite disappointing!

Saw Ratdog and Gov't Mule in Boise back in June. Mule started around 5:00 in the heat of the day and played pretty well for about 2 hours. I think the heat kept the crowd rather docile. I know I was too hot to dance much.

Bob and the boys came out around 7:30 and played right until 10:00 when they were forced to shut down, which kinda sucks cause they were just getting into it as the summer temperature dropped.

Setlist from that night. Actually a pretty good show, no encore though, as they were booted off the stage.
