I'm guessing he's now an endorsee...

The best part of the video are the guitar shots. Quite a collection! I wish I could spend time there.

Thats a great video. I'm guessing that's Bob's Mill Valley home studio, same one from years back. And the collection of guitars! Wow. A lot of Gibbys. Great to see. Also great to see loyalty with Mcintosh from all these years. Seems mutual.

Gibby's and Ibby's, including the GB10 he literally stole from George Benson.

He must have recently become a Gibson endorser; when I met him backstage at Radio City in the spring he walked in with a brand spanking new Gibson hollowbody that they had just sent him (he had the case strapped to his back and had to duck to get through the door). Looks like a Gibson J-45 he's playing there. I've never had a lot of experience with Gibson acoustics, especially as a lefty, but I fell in love with a Gibson small jumbo a few months ago, what a great tone, perfect for just sitting and singing, much like he's doing there.

(And, of course, he tunes with his iPhone.)

Hey so what do you think Bobby is using to tune on his iPhone? I have no info but I'm going to guess that it may be the Peterson iStrobo tuner app - anybody know for sure - or has anyone used this app? I have not yet tried it but after reading about it I think I need to give it a try.

From their site
http://www.petersontuners.com/index.cfm?category=150

iStroboSoft™ Application for the iPhone™ and iPod touch®
Peterson Strobe Tuner's popular StroboSoft tuning application for the iPod touch and iPhone. iStroboSoft™ offers the unmatched accuracy of a mechanical strobe tuner for the highest degree of precision available in a software tuning application.

Plug in and tune your electrics and acoustics quickly and easily with 1/10th cent accuracy. (External mic required for iPod touch.)

Peterson Tuners has offered tuning solutions for over 60 years and is the only company specializing in hardware and software tuning products for all levels of musicians.
FEATURES:
• Exclusive strobe display allows you to achieve an unmatched level of accuracy.

• Note/Octave window displays the correct note and octave for the note being tuned.

• Cents display allows you to see how far out of tune your note is in cent values.

• Glowing flat/sharp indicators assist when tuning a note very far from the target position and it is difficult to gauge which direction the strobe is moving.

• Noise filter: Use the noise filter when utilizing an external mic or clip-on tuning device to help reduce the effect of extraneous environmental noise during tuning.

• Input boost: The input boost will raise all input frequencies by +24dB.

• Calibration mode: iStroboSoft can be calibrated to an external source guaranteeing 1/10th cent accuracy.

• Drop/Capo mode: iStroboSoft will auto-transpose notes up or down to one full octave.

Ummmm maybe I'll retract that - just searched the app store and there are a lot of tuner apps in addition to the Peterson one - and Bobbys guitar isn't plugged in so it's probably another app.
