IMHO the curator should be someone who knows how to keep time, humidity and finger oils from ruining a guitar, any guitar. I don't care if he/she knows the whole significance as long as they protect it.

Agreed. But the curator works for the guitar's owner. And Jerry was well known to have the most acidic sweat of all mankind. So, yeah, it shouldn't be happening, but it's not as bad as it seems.

The guy who got to play it a couple of weeks ago said the curator told him that "thousands upon thousands" of people have requested to see the guitar, measure the guitar, photograph the guitar ... and they all get turned down. Except this guy. He also said there was an amp handy, but he never plugged it in :? although he got to spend about 40 minutes with the guitar.

Just to stir the pot... if being a self-centered a-hole is a condition to keep one from owning Tiger, Garcia probably never should have owned it.

I like it, but it would nice to have just the Tiger image on the front and the words on the back, per most dead shirts. Then it would be not so obvious, also it should include Rukind in some way, and the proceeds? well we will get it right sooner or later.

I got a great idea! I know its far out but does anyone think we could get a "free Tiger" shirt to Pete Townsend and have him wear it for the Super Bowl show? Even if we could get it to him with a letter he might think about it. Or at least hold it up at the end of the show or drape it on his amp. This we be a monumental Wardrobe malfuntion!
