Les Paul Copy

Does anyone know ifthere was ever a les paul
copy made, that actually says les paul
on the headstock.

I ask 'cause someone is selling one near me that
actually says les paul and gibson on the headstock He says it is a copy, I haven't seen it yet but that is kind of weird.
