I've been considering having my strat rewired - my DIY work is not cutting it. On occassion the volume will drop slightly on the guitar. It used to cut out completely on me - the root cause of that was having the effects loop and final guitar out jacks too close together - I think either the wires or jacks were touching? Anyway - split those apart a bit and put on a new dual jack plate. So total output loss has gone away - but I still sometimes get a bit of a drop. So I'm guessing that somewhere in there is a loose connection or frayed wire or something?
Need to get it fixed, though, becuae I've discovered that nothing wrecks my playing more than thinking about my equipment and wether it's going to cut out. It wrecks my whole night.
Anyone have any Atlanta recommendations for a good guitar shop? I know a couple, but none of them seem 100% jazzed about dealing with the OBEL and buffer.
