Under very close inspection this is what Jerry does on the same version 3-15-90 I watched and listened to 2 verses

E|--------------
B|-------------1--
G|------------0--
D|--5--4--3--2--
A|--3--3--3--3--
E|--------------

If you like the full chords or play alone I think this is good or what I wrote in the prievious post at the 8th fret works too the only difference between this and jdanks who is great is that the Dmin7 he has , I have as an F/C I don't hear a D in the bass on any version and it doesn't sound minor at any point

E|---------1-----
B|--5--4--1--1--
G|--3--2--2--0--
D|--5--4--3--2--
A|--3--3--3--3--
E|--------------

gdrfk1990 wrote:here is the exact Bobby part from 3-15-90 for the walkdown" you know you bound to wind up dead" he arppegiates these chords. Very similar to the types of chords seen in the Terrapin Bobby Video

C7 Co7 F/C C
E|----------------------
B|--13----13----13--13--
G|--12----11----10--12--
D|--10----10----10--14--
A|----------------------
E|----------------------

THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! I just half corrected my earlier mistake and started playing: C7 Co7 F C as full chords but at rehearsal we tossed on a Bobby heavy show and was racking my brains and hands and guitar fingerboard as I heard Bobby playing what sounded like almost the same thing arppegiated 3 times and voila! Perfect! THANKS!!!!

I play it this way:

E|--8--8--8--8-----or----
B|--8--7--6--5-----or----
G|--5--5--5--5-----or---5
D|--5--5--5--5-----or---5
A|------------------or----7
E|------------------or----8

Variations:

- I may vary the last chord (see after the 'or')
- I may not play the bottom E string on the last chord
- I may not play the top E string at all
- I may play the last chord as Am (top 4 strings on the 5th fret) or as C not dropping out the high E string)

The key is to emphasize the chromatic walkdown starting from G.
